What's a "market adjustment" and is it legal?
Market adjustment (ADM = Additional Dealer Markup) is legal but optional. It's pure dealer profit on high-demand cars. You can refuse it by walking away. Never pay ADM on a common car (CR-V, Accord, RAV4). If you're buying a limited-production car (new Corvette Z06, Ford Raptor), ADM might exist but you can wait 3-6 months for it to disappear.
