Do I need a bill of sale if I sell to a dealer?
If you sell to a dealer, they generate their own purchase agreement, which serves the same purpose as a bill of sale. Keep a copy of that agreement for your records. Verify that the title has been signed over properly and that the dealer provides their business information in writing in case any issues arise with the title transfer afterward.
