How long does it take to charge an EV on Level 1?
Level 1 charging on a standard 120-volt outlet adds about 3 to 5 miles of range per hour. A vehicle with a 250-mile range battery would take 50 to 80 hours to charge from empty on Level 1. It is best suited for plug-in hybrids or emergency top-offs.
