How does the NJ trade-in tax credit work with a Vantage transaction?
In NJ, your trade-in value is subtracted from the purchase price of your new vehicle before sales tax is calculated. This means a $10,000 trade-in on a $30,000 vehicle means you only pay sales tax on $20,000. This credit applies whether you go through Vantage or directly to a dealer.
