In my experience, the biggest mistake buyers make is assuming the dealer's financing offer is competitive. I always run your deal through the manufacturer's captive lender first, then compare against outside banks. Most of the time, the captive lender wins on rate if you qualify, and that savings goes straight into your pocket.
